ABOUT ME

I’m Vanessa, an artist and designer working across fashion, textiles, sound and story.

My work lives somewhere between the familiar and the strange—one-of-one pieces made from vintage, reclaimed and unexpected materials, transformed through sewing, hand stitching, reconstruction and whatever other process the piece seems to demand.

I’m drawn to things that carry a past: worn denim, leather, forgotten fabrics, vintage objects and imperfect materials. Rather than erase their history, I build on it, creating pieces that feel as though they already have a story of their own.

Alongside my fashion and textile work, I make music as VANFAVE and co-own Founders of Filth, an independent label I run with my partner.

Everything I make belongs to the same world: a little mysterious, a little undone, and somewhere between memory and imagination.
